Version 2.6.1 brings smarter program tracking, clearer navigation, and important stability fixes.
Mark warm-up and failure sets in your programs
Training programs can now specify which sets are warm-ups and which should be taken to failure. When you import a program with these markers, you'll see:
- Orange "W" badge on warm-up sets in your workout plan
- Bolt icon on sets marked for failure
When you tap to log a set, the warm-up and failure toggles are automatically pre-filled based on your program. No more remembering which sets are warm-ups — Intrvl handles it for you.
Why this matters: Warm-up sets are tracked separately from your working sets in analytics. Your Effective Volume calculations only count working sets, giving you a more accurate picture of your training load. If you're running a structured program where the first two sets of squats are always warm-ups, that distinction is now built into the program file itself.
Program authors can now create more detailed templates using the v1.6 schema. If you're building programs at intrvl.app/program-builder, you'll find the new isWarmUp and toFailure fields available in the set configuration.
Clearer dashboard navigation
The muscle breakdown card on your dashboard now includes a visible "View Details" button. Previously, the card was tappable but the interaction wasn't obvious. Now you can see exactly where to tap to drill into your muscle group analytics.
Small change, but it matters. If the interface doesn't signal what's interactive, it's not doing its job.
Responsive timer controls
The custom time picker in the workout timer now adapts to your screen size. On smaller devices or with accessibility text sizes enabled, the controls no longer wrap awkwardly — they stay readable and usable.
This affects anyone using larger text sizes in iOS accessibility settings, or training on an older iPhone with a smaller display. The timer controls now scale properly regardless of your configuration.
Bug fix: premium users no longer asked to restore
Some users with lifetime purchases were incorrectly being shown the "Trial Ended" screen after updating to 2.6. This has been fixed.
If you've already purchased Intrvl, your premium status is now recognised immediately on app launch, regardless of network conditions or how long since you last opened the app. The verification logic has been restructured to prioritise local purchase records over server-side validation.
You shouldn't have been asked to restore purchases in the first place. That's fixed.
